- Dr. JV Majmudar (Dilipbhai’s father), a renowned agriculture Scientist in India, also supported the company.
- The main aim was to develop the seed business for the services of farmers by providing high-quality seeds.

- New Sagar Seeds was created by the Majmudar family.
- The headquarter was situated in my hometown, Kalol, Dist. Panchmahals, Gujarat.

- Although the turnover was small, the operations were sound.
- The R&D unit was started at our R&D farm at Kalol (Panchmahals).
- The company had the moral support of his father, a leading crop improvement scientist in India.
- Over 40 years of rich experience in seed research in government institutes and ICRISAT.
- The business was moved to Ahmedabad in 1985.
- The city is considered to be a seed business hub.
- A collaborative research program on Pearl millet (Bajra) crop improvement with ICRISAT.

- The proprietorship firm, Sagarlaxmi Agriseeds Private Limited was established in 1989.
- Real expansion took place with this setup.
- The company achieved tremendous growth at a faster rate through proprietary castor products like Sagar Shakti and Sagar Moti.
- A formation to take over the Sagarlaxmi Agriseeds Private Limited.
- From two different companies, it has now become one. And from a proprietary firm, it has changed into Private Limited.
- Sagarlaxmi successfully launched more than 10 new products.
- Our list of distributors has increased, and we gained more than 50 new distributors.
- We’ve also entered new territories across the nation, like Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
